Chapter Philanthropy

Every spring, the Beta Xi Chapter hosts a large scale social event, usually a dance, for the School of Music. In addition to promoting brotherhood among musical students at Ohio State, the proceeds from this event are taken and put toward causes that advance music in america. Past donations have been made to the Sinfonia Education Foundation, and toward the purchase of instruments and supplies for Columbus music programs in need.

In addition, we also put on at least two Mills Music Missions during the academic year, traveling to area retirement homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals and hospices, to share music with the residents.

Beyond that, the chapter also assists with events put on by the School of Music, providing volunteers for he Middle School Honor Band, the High School Honor Band, the Jazz Festival High School Band Day, among others.
